"There can be no friendship without confidence, and no confidence without integrity."
- Samuel Johnson

Integrity is the act of carefully developing and upholding a set of inviolable beliefs. People of integrity are not inflexible, but their decisions are made reflecting strong belief in their own, or an organization’s values. Principled leaders must not only be a moral compass, but also effectively communicate that same code of conduct to those they lead. They are obligated to remain faithful to their core principles in order to encourage and imbue the same values in others.
